Software Engineer III, Backend - Core Domain

Overview

As a Software Engineer in the Core Team, you help build and maintain the backbone of Satispay’s payment platform. You will contribute to high-quality, scalable, and secure backend services used by multiple product teams. You will work on core domains like the Transaction Ledger, IAM, and Payment Orchestration, and you’ll implement risk, banking integrations, and fraud-detection logic. The role emphasizes engineering excellence, collaboration, and leveraging AI tools to boost development and documentation. This is a chance to shape critical fintech infrastructure in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Responsabilità Build and maintain core platform domains (Transaction Ledger, IAM, Payment Orchestration) for high performance and security

Develop and optimize services for bank integrations, credit risk, and real-time fraud detection

Contribute to technical analysis, design discussions, and high-quality documentation (Smart Papers)

Ensure engineering quality through clean code, testing strategies, and safe rollouts

Collaborate with senior engineers and juniors to raise technical and architectural skills

Leverage AI tools to write/optimize code, speed up root cause analysis, and generate documentation

Own assigned features from start to finish and promote simplicity in the codebase

Requisiti fondamentali 3+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer building scalable microservices in fast-paced contexts

Deep expertise in Java and Spring Boot

Solid understanding of distributed systems and familiarity with banking APIs integration

Good exposure to cloud environments (AWS) and relational databases (PostgreSQL)

Reliability mindset with focus on system health, data integrity, and clear business logic

Effective communication skills and collaboration with technical and non-technical peers

Fluency in English and passion for FinTech
