Senior Backend Software Engineer - Core Domain

Overview

As a Senior Backend Software Engineer in the Core Team, you will help build the backbone of Satispay’s payment platform. You will own design, delivery, and quality of core systems that power multiple services, including transactions, IAM, and payment orchestration. You will scale risk and fraud engines and lead cross-team technical efforts with a focus on security, reliability, and performance. This is a hands-on role with mentorship and technical leadership across squads, in a fast-moving fintech environment.

Responsabilità Design and evolve core platform domains (Transaction Ledger, IAM, Payment Orchestration) to be high-performing and scalable

Scale risk and financial engines including bank integrations, credit risk, and real-time fraud detection

Lead cross-team technical analysis and produce high-quality documentation (Smart Papers) for stakeholders

Ensure technical quality through rigorous testing strategies and controlled rollouts

mentor and develop junior and mid-level engineers and promote best practices in tooling and methodologies

Requisiti fondamentali 5+ years of backend software engineering experience

Proven track record with microservices and cloud environments (AWS a plus) in mission-critical contexts

Deep experience with Java and Spring Boot

Strong understanding of distributed systems and managing external dependencies (banking protocols)

Structured communication and ability to coordinate with other teams and stakeholders

Impact mindset with a focus on delivering solutions that meet evolving user needs

Fluent in English and passionate about FinTech
