Staff Software Engineer

Overview

As a Staff Software Engineer, you will set the long-term technical vision for a domain, architect scalable subsystems, and lead cross-team initiatives that impact millions of users. You’ll advance architecture, tackle complex financial engineering challenges, and mentor the next generation of engineers. Your work directly contributes to helping users reach their financial goals within a fast-paced FinTech environment. This role combines technical leadership with hands-on implementation to shape Satispay’s backend infrastructure.

Responsabilità Define technical strategy for cross-product impact and architecture of complex subsystems

Design and build scalable, high-quality backend systems to solve financial engineering problems

Drive technical thought leadership and align stakeholders across the organization

Develop talent and promote a culture of high-quality engineering and continuous improvement

Contribute to the back-end infrastructure to help users achieve their financial goals

Requisiti fondamentali At least 7 years of backend software engineering experience

Proven track record architecting and maintaining microservices in high-paced environments

Deep experience with Java and strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS preferred)

Ability to communicate clearly and build cross-organizational relationships for technical alignment

Proven ability to generate intellectual property and stay ahead of emerging tech trends in FinTech

Fluent in English and passionate about FinTech or startup environments
