Design Engineer

Overview As a Design Engineer at AGCO, you will develop combines for crop processing, designing and detailing moderately complex sheet metal and structural components. You will work with an international team to ensure performance, durability, quality, and serviceability, while aligning designs with project goals and production needs. You will create production-quality drawings, support engineering changes, and participate in design reviews and validation activities. This role offers impact on product development and field-testing programs within a global farming technology company.

Responsabilità

3D and 2D design of parts, assemblies and mechanisms using multiple materials and fabrication technologies create production-quality fabrication drawings, documentation, and assembly drawings; manage ECR-ECN participate in design reviews with cross-functional teams (Quality, Manufacturing, Purchasing) collaborate on project schedules and budgets to ensure timely delivery contribute to product validation and testing activities

Requisiti fondamentali

Diploma Perito, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering 3–5 years of mechanical engineering experience background in agricultural machinery and equipment proficient in 3D and 2D modeling (ProE preferred) and MS Office skilled in drawing layouts and GD&T extensive experience in designing sheet metal, castings, fabrications, welded/bolted assemblies knowledge of material properties, manufacturing techniques (DFM), failure and root cause analysis, inspection, coatings, fasteners understanding of crop flow mechanics, FEA/DEM/CFD tools, and linkages proficiency in designing/specifying sheaves, belts, and bearings fluent in English; Italian mother tongue willingness for field tests and travel to Europe, USA, Brazil problem-solving collaboration positive, pragmatic attitude 3D/2D modeling (ProE) sheet metal design castings and fabricated steel structures
