Senior Backend Engineer Node.js + AWS

Overview In this role you will contribute to building scalable backend services for Deel’s global payroll and HR platform. You will work within a cross-functional Engineering team to plan, design, and deliver robust features and APIs that serve customers worldwide. You will tackle performance and reliability challenges at scale, while maintaining a customer-centric engineering mindset. Collaborate in a cross-functional team with frontend, product, design, and QA to deliver seamless experiences Participate in product planning from discovery to deployment Develop and enhance features, including APIs, with a focus on quality and scalability Identify and fix bugs quickly to maintain Deel Speed Deliver a customer-centric engineering approach to product quality and reliability

Requisiti fondamentali

8+ years of software engineering experience Backend development with Node.js and TypeScript/JavaScript Proficiency in PostgreSQL and SQL query optimization Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns Experience designing scalable systems and handling high transaction volumes API development experience with input validation, JWT, and queue-based architectures Remote collaboration and proactive communication Ownership and autonomy balanced with teamwork Clear communication of complex ideas to diverse stakeholders Node.js TypeScript/JavaScript PostgreSQL
