We are seeking an experienced JAVA Software Engineer to develop Java, Diagnostics, and OTA offboard software. You will focus on vehicle diagnostics and Over-the-Air (OTA) updating mechanisms. We are looking for a Senior Java Engineer to build backend infrastructure supporting offboard automotive solutions. This role manages telemetry data, remote diagnostics, and cloud-to-vehicle Over-the-Air (OTA) deployment pipelines.ResponsibilitiesDevelop scalable backend services and API architectures using Java/Spring.Implement offboard diagnostics systems to process vehicle telemetry data.Manage cloud infrastructure for secure, reliable offboard Over-the-Air (OTA) updates.Utilize CANoe environments to test backend API interactions with simulated vehicle endpoints.RequirementsExperience: Minimum 5 years in backend software engineering (Automotive domain)Core Java Development: Java, Spring Framework / Spring Boot, RESTful API Design and Development, Microservices Architecture, Maven / Gradle, JUnit, Integration Testing,Required Technical SkillsObject-Oriented Design (OOD) and Design PatternsBackend & Cloud TechnologiesCloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), Containerization (Docker)Kubernetes, CI/CD Pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)Good to HaveAPI Gateway and Service SecurityDatabase & Data ManagementSQL Databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) orNoSQL Databases (MongoDB, Cassandra)Telemetry Data ProcessingOTA (Over-the-Air) UpdatesOTA Software Update ArchitectureSoftware/Firmware Deployment Pipelines, Secure Update Mechanisms, Package Management and VersioningVehicle Software configuration managementAdditional SkillsFamiliarity with Vector CANoe or similar simulation tools to trace backend data packets down to the vehicle network layerProfessional fluency in both English and Italian is a strong plus to help our international teams and local stakeholders work together smoothly
