We're hiring for Production Engineer Intern

As Production Engineer Intern you will act as an advanced technical resource for Operations personnel, applying technical skills and process technology knowledge to optimize plant operations, resolve plant problems and enable safe, reliable and efficient production of low cost, quality products. This role provides a secondary or advanced level of technical and process technology expertise to assist work teams to run a low cost, on specification, reliable, optimized operation, thereby maximizing value to the business in a safe and environmentally friendly manner.

Your Challenge:

Understands all applicable process technology, equipment and process control technology. Works with Technical Advising role(s) and plant personnel to optimize operations to meet Business, Site and plant goals. (EH&S, quality,

production, cost, energy, reliability, etc.) for the area of responsibility. Earn respect and trust of operations team because of their great problem solving skills and technical expertise.

Elevate and appropriately apply knowledge of their plant and technology – study historical data, convene with Tech Center or other Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), etc.

Ensure Process Automation and Most Effective Technology (MET) is effectively utilized to optimize plant performance.

Partner with the experts to perform advanced troubleshooting and improve operating discipline. Diagnose and document root causes of asset utilization losses in the facility.

Understand why specific procedure steps and precautions are needed and keep a strong field presence to reinforce the importance of them.

Conduct daily review of logbook and alarm history to better understand the plant operation and stay engaged with daily activities. Maintain, own, and review daily Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)/trends to ensure optimum performance.

Respond urgently to plant issues and emergencies. Act as a unit technical expert during unplanned events and drive implementation of effective corrective and preventative actions.

Provide leadership, expertise, diagnosis, and optimization in plant Raw Material Efficiency, which may include yield or waste generation.

Lead improvement opportunities and participate in the definition and execution of Capital/Expense projects in the area of responsibility

Qualifications

To Grow What Matters, You Will Need

Chemical Engineer education or equivalent experience in chemical industry.

Technical Diagnostic and Problem Solving skills.

Effective Communication (i.e. verbal, written) in English and Italian.

Collaboration and Interpersonal Effectiveness.
