Quality Control Specialist

Overview

In this role you will ensure only conform parts, products and systems are released through internal testing and adherence to specifications. You will support FAT activities, report quality data, and provide feedback to engineering for design improvements. You’ll collaborate on improving test protocols, boosting efficiency and reliability, while maintaining a safe, compliant shop floor. This position offers hands-on impact in quality assurance within ABB’s Distribution Solutions division, with opportunities to shape processes and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsabilità Conduct internal testing to verify products meet requirements and customer expectations

Release only conform items to the next stage and final customer

Report quality issues and ensure Quality Management System compliance

Provide feedback to engineering/R&D for product and process improvement

Contribute to improving test protocols and capability for better efficiency and reliability

Utilize safety systems to maintain an accident-free workplace and raise safety concerns when observed

Train operational teams on quality assurance and testing routines

Support FAT activities with the final customer

Requisiti fondamentali Degree in Engineering, secondary school education or experience in manufacturing environment

Knowledge of mechanical and electrical topics, electrical diagrams, testing equipment (ScopeCorders, stabilized power supplies, multimeters)

PES (Expert Person per CEI 11-27)

Flexibility for shift work

Problem-solving and solution-finding in a shopfloor setting

Strong communication and cross-department collaboration skills

Proficiency in Excel, MS Office, SAP, Power BI; familiarity with AI tools (Copilot, Power Apps, Power Automate, Loop) a plus

Italian language communication with English at B1 level

Valid category B driving license (Italy)
