Who We ArePrivate Bank (PB), operating through two distinct business units of Private Bank Germany (PBG) and the International Private Bank (IPB), covers private, wealth and commercial clients across more than 60 countries.Who We ArePrivate Bank (PB), operating through two distinct business units of Private Bank Germany (PBG) and the International Private Bank (IPB), covers private, wealth and commercial clients across more than 60 countries.We are looking for an Senior Backend Engineer to help us create the next big thing in digital banking.What You'll Be DoingMaintain high standards of software quality within the team by following good practices and habitsDevelop, test and document Java-based software components in accordance with requirementsContribute to all stages of software development lifecycleIdentify and resolve any technical issue arisingWrite unit tests for robustness, edge cases and general reliabilityParticipate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related codeCreate design documentationPlan and support releasesSupport QA team to provide high qualityWork in a scaled Agile working environmentBe part of a global and diverse teamWhat We're Looking ForBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fieldMinimum of 5 year of experience in backend developmentExtensive Java and Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security, and Spring Cloud, ...) experience.Deep JPA & Hibernate expertise with strong SQL knowledge.Proven hands-on experience with GCP (Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, etc.).Experience with building and consuming RESTful APIs.Solid understanding of software design patterns and architectural principles.
